|Newsletter for e-Business consultants and practitioners|
eGalaxy News is web-based periodical devoted to e-business,
including important information for eBusiness developers,
consultants and users. eGalaxy news is created by Galiel.net,
however you will find here opinions of researchers, experts and
consultants working in many different organizations. What they
have in common is a strong insiders' knowledge of industry and
technology. Some questions touched in this bulletin are:
- New technology;
- New products;
- New trends;
- Success stories;
- Sites worth to visit and learn, how to implement
- and much more...
For several reasons we stopped email distribution in March 2000.
Instead new articles will be published right here on the site.
Among these reasons:
- Maillists are becoming a major source of direct or indirect spam in our mailboxes.
Even when we really subscribed to something, it's
often not possible to read all the stuff we are subscribed for.
So it just does not work.
- Number of frivolous requests is amazing. If every request would be true, we would have among our subscribers
email@example.com, scott_mcnealy @sun.com, several bills and firstname.lastname@example.org/org/gov and few other popular
folklore personages. No need to say that we don't want to bother any of these people even with a request,
if they really tryed to subscribe to our service.
- Published by W3 Consortium P3P privacy support standard,
may substantially damage traffic to sites collecting any information about customers, even for purposes of
subscribing to a maillist. Intervention of governments of several states in support for a consumer privacy
makes this stuff especially stinky, so we'd better not touch it at all.
So we prefer to avoid any intrusion into your privacy and keep access to eGalaxy
News strictly "pull-mode" - open to anybody interested, but no more.
